Top 5 Haunted places in India that'll give you chills for sure.

India is a beautiful yet mysterious country that has a lot of  secrets and also a lot of haunted places. India is a land of mysteries with too many questions but no answers. We all grew up with many stories about ghosts and spirits from people. We gathered all information and sightings of haunted places in India. We don't know whether these stories are true or false, nobody knows. But we gathered the top 5 haunted places in India.

1.) Brij Raj Bhavan Palace in Kota, Rajasthan

The Brij Raj Bhavan Palace located on the bank of river Chambal, Kota in  Rajasthan. This fort is converted to heritage hotel in 1980's and  is believed to have a spirit roaming at nights. Some four decades ago this hotel allows this resident spirit to live for free. 

Story of  Brij Raj Bhavan palace:

It is believed that Major Burton served as British employment to Kota. Due to some reason, the Indian sepoy became an enemy for Major Burton and he killed the Major and his two sons in the central hall of this palace during 1857 Mutiny. Thereafter, the fort was occupied by the queen of the palace of the British Resident. Apparently, the queen of Kota spoke to the journalists about the visits of  Major Burton after his death. This ghost didn't cause any damage to the fort but he used to hit the dozing security guards.

2.) De Monte Colony, Chennai

This colony is built by John De Monte which is situated near bustling St.Mary's Road in Chennai. This street has no lights and is spooky due to uncanny patterned trees near this house.
Ghost of this colony walks down the house and street at midnight and many of them had seen John De Monte walking down the street in the dark moonlight, as locals said.

Story of De Monte Colony:

John De Monte, a Portuguese businessman has led an unhappy life with a wife who was mentally unstable and a son who died an untimely death. This results in trouble to the  De Monte's personal life. After the death of Monte's wife, he became mentally unstable and killed all his servants. Later he killed himself and turned as a ghost.

3.)  Dumas Beach, Gujarat:

      Dumas beach is the most popular hangout place of Surat. Dumas is actually a village situated at the distance of 19 KM from the city. Beaches are cool places to relax. But not this one, this beaches is a cremation ground for the Hindus. This beach had tormented souls and the one who did not seek 'Moksha'.


4.) D’Souza Chawl, Mahim

A Chawl is a building with 4-5 floors. D'souza  Chawl is located in Mahim, Mumbai. This place contains a well inside its compound  and this well doesn't have the fence around it. One day, a woman went near well to get some water. She slipped and fell into a well and  died. Locals said "the lady wander around the well at late night and being disappeared before the dawn. Locals named this lady as "The Lady Of  The Well".

5.) GP BLOCK, MEERUT

Although not well known, GP BLOCK of Meerut which is in Uttar Pradesh has been reported as a haunted place. This GP BLOCK has one building which stands out from the rest in terms  of  peace and its strange activities.


Story Of GP Block:

The story about the city of Meerut reveals that the city was inhabited by Lady Mandodari wife of Demonkind Ravana. The history says that demon king Mayasura(father of Mandodari) is an architect  who ruled the city. Mayasura blessed with the ability to melt huge stones to get the building done as per his architectural tastes.He along with his subordinates took extreme steps to construct buildings with architectural marvel. Devi Mandodari used to worship goddess Chandi in one the temples in Nauchandi ground.  

Sightings:

The locals had seen about four to five men sitting around a table and  drinking beer while playing cards.Some of them also said that they have even seen girls in red dress going in and out of the house.
The house is double-storeyed and people have seen the boys sitting on the roof-top. People have stopped going to that place now.
